To map parts to IFC entities/classes (primary)

Open the Map DataGroup Types and Properties to IFC dialog by clicking the Map button next to Mapping Options group box, Map DataGroup Types and Properties (primary mapping) option in the IFC Export dialog.
Expand a datagroup type. In this example we expand the Plumbing Fixture datagroup type.

Note: Catalog items that inherit the IFC entity/class from their parent catalog type, include the sting (Inherited) after the IFC mapping.
Use the same method discussed previously, in the Mapping DataGroup Types to IFC Entities/Classes section above, to override the default item mapping to IFC Class, Type, and Predefined Type. Overridden IFC mappings are displayed in bold.

Note: Unsaved mappings display in blue.
Click Save to override item mappings to Project (default) or Dataset.
To remove a mapping override and revert back to the default mapping, click the item in the IFC Mapping column to open the IFC Entities Classifications drop down box, then click the Clear Mapping button.
